Happy Birthday to Pa Pa

The heavens are the work of Your hands. - Psalms 102:25

Today is Pa pa's birthday. I have been waiting for him to come home and sing him the Birthday song. Who knows when he was back, I forgot all about it as I was fascinated to the Thomas sticker book that Auntie Geok Ling bought me from Sin. (Coincidentally, Uncle Fook Leong came over to pass me the sticker book 5 mins before Pa pa came home from school). Sorry Pa pa, I will re-sing the song to you again.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to Pa pa, Happy Birtday to you!
A big hug and kiss from Heng yue.

The Laksa that Mommy cooked for Pa pa's birthday.

Funnie Mommy, she baked some banana nut muffins for Pa pa as birthday cake today but she forgot to buy candles, in the end, she put 3 muffins and a number 2 candle in a 4th muffin as Pa pa's age. Mommy, that is not very sincere but well, Pa pa was still very happy with the 'surprise'.(I think or if not, he must be pretending :))

We went Uncle John and Auntie Tricia's house for dinner on Sunday. Mommy baked a Birthday cake for Pa pa. Pa pa said that cake tasted pretty good, just a little too sweet coz of the M&Ms chocolate. Mommy is very happy that Pa pa praised her coz she always thought she can't cook or bake something that Pa pa likes. It's a good start, Mommy! Keep it up!

Yummy, it tastes good!

Pa pa is so blessed with his loving family. He will get to eat his favourite authetic kaya from Uncle Chee Ping when they arrive tomorrow, coz Dua Peh bought and passed it to uncle when Pa pa told him he feels like eating it. They even called him to wish him Happy Birthday all the way from Phuket when they were vacationing there. I think Pa pa nearly teared coz this made him miss them more, am I right, Pa pa? Don't worry, I'm counting down, 10 more months to go.

Mommy is getting quite strict with me lately that I am so frighten of her. I know she doesn't want me to turn into a spoilt brat during this terrible two period. Hee, thank God that I still have Pa pa who keeps reminding her to show me tender loving care. I promise Mommy that I will not hit her so hard. She sure knows this is learnt through her coz she hits me too often when I am naughty, ai... what to do, she is still so quick temper, hope she will learn to control it sooner. Advice to the Aunties and Uncles out there, remember to show patience and love to your child instead of hitting them when they are mischievous ok. I learnt to say Sorry to her when I did something wrong too. I realise after I apologized, she won't scold or nag at me anymore. Therefore, I always be naughty and apologized, naughty and apologized... ha ha, it worked so far. I will keep you updated on when my mother can't take it any longer. :) Advice to the kids out there, remember to apologize when you know your parents are angry, it sure helps to cool them down.

Oh, I have a lot to update you. Mother brought me to BonFante Garden near Gilroy on Saturday. We took Uncle John and Auntie Tricia's car along with Caleb ge ge. The weather was fine and the park was fun. Although I have not reached the minimum height for most of the rides, I managed to take a few with Mommy sitting with me. It was really fun, a great pity that Pa pa can't join us. Mommy kept mumbling that it will be more fun if Pa pa was there. Therefore, she tried to capture whatever she can to show Pa pa. Hee, guess Pa pa was glad that he wasn't there coz it's a park meant for kids and not adults, so he didn't miss much.

We got the swan.

Our lunch - corn dog, fried shrimp, calamari, fries = salivating...

Time to go home.

Yesterday was the Memorial Day holiday, Pa pa's school had an open house and we went there for the musical concert and a fun fair. I got to jump in the bounced house for the first time. It was awesome! I wish I could be there longer if it was not for the queue. I also had the chance to sit and drive a vintage fire truck from the 1900. It was so cool! I told Mommy I want to be a Fire fighter when I grow up.

I got to lift the parrot again.
Waiting for the cheering performance.
Bouncing up and down
Bubbles bubbles...
The very classical musical concert.
The vintage fire engine.

Memorial Day weekend

Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day - Psalm 96

Hi, I'm back again. I have been missing for a while since Po po flew back to Singapore. Still adjusting to life without her, oh that is my mother's daily phrase. She still feeds me yogurt + powdered walnut + blueberry and a cup of milk for lunch sometimes. That is when she is sick of eating mee sua with minced meat and broccoli. I am fine with anything she cooks as long as she remembers to feed me. Well, actually she indulges me with the yogurt, that is my favourite food for the power lunch. Mommy, you are great!

Oh, some updates. My Ah Gong and Ah ma and Gu gus are not coming here to visit me anymore, they changed their mind and guess what, they are visiting Phuket without me! I wonder if they will go again when I am back. Mommy is quite certain that they will abort family vacationing when we are back coz they might get sick of traveling already. So, please wait for us ok Gu gus.

Though they are not coming, I know we have Uncle Chee Ping and Auntie Lindy visiting us from Singapore. They will be here soon. I am so happy to see visitors, as my life is a little monotonus now.

A small accident which happened two days ago. Mommy accidentally cut my flesh at my ankle while closing the door. It bleed a lot and Mommy panicked, I let her washed my foot under the running water and then allowed her to apply antiseptic cream on the wound. I only cried for a while and didn't feel the pain anymore. Guess Mommy was pretty surprised at my thick-skinned. She was also very proud of me that I am so easily pacified. Maybe I should pretend to cry a little longer to frighten her more.

Poor me, Mommy is training me to sleep by myself in the dark room with door closed. I am quite unwilling to be trained but I don't dare to defy her. Sometimes she will still nurse me to sleep coz she already fell asleep before I did. :) Lousy mommy!

Mommy is also very proud of me today as I know how to remove my pants, stand on the stool and go pee pee myself at the big potty. Hooray, I did it.

I have loaded some pictures from the past weeks. Enjoy and hope I will be able to update constantly. See u soon.

Back to Parent's Place after Po Po flew home.

Dunno why I like this so much.
