God knows best.

[God] heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name. - Psalm 147:3-4

Mommy was very upset four days ago and it affected me too. She was distraught with grief about losing that 'someone' in her life. She knew clearly that God meant good for this misfortune to happen, so she told herself that she was mourning with hope in God. She will continue to pray and count the blessings from God. I did not know how to console her, therefore, I kept being mischievious and hope to divert her attention away from this sad episode . She was so mad at me during dinner (because I didn't want to keep quiet when we say grace before our meal) that I heard her screamed: "What do you want from me? I have given you everything, what else do you want from me?" I answered her: "My jetski!". Then I saw her and Pa pa burst out their laughter. I wondered what was so funny. Before dinner, I was actually playing with the jetski that Mommy bought for me in the afternoon and didn't want to leave it to take my dinner at the dining table. Mommy put it away and told me I can only play with it after my dinner. I truly just want my jetski and nothing else at that moment.

Mommy seemed to be more patient with me these few days. I pray that she will remain like this for till end of the year. However, she is still firm with me when she thinks I am not behaving. She has also cut down my TV watching session, I hardly got to watch more than 4 times per week now. She said she would prefer to spend the time reading, painting and playing with me. We were at Parent's Place on Saturday and it was a great day for Mommy & me. We sat at the picnic table in the garden to have our snacks. Mommy told me how God creates the trees and nature. Then we walked around the artificial bridges in the woods, she even kicked the ball with me on the green. Mommy said she wants to spend more quality time with me and treasure the time we spend together here. I too, will treasure the time I spend with you, Mommy! Oooohhh, I wish Pa pa was there with us... Pa pa, study hard! I am looking forward to spend more time with you too.

A lesson learnt

A fool despises his father's instruction, but he who receives correction is prudent. - Proverbs 15:5

Mommy told me that she has sinned against God recently. She didn't get the essence of the whole process until today. What actually happened was that Pa pa and Mommy ordered something online recently and when the items arrived a week ago, there were 2 items extra in the parcel. Mommy said the temptation was so tempting that she decided to keep it. She was thinking that the amount of these two items can actually offset the amount that Pa pa and Mommy paid for the broken Benz. She struggled and wrestled with God, trying to convince Him why she had all sort of reasons to keep the items. However, Pa pa refused to get tempted. He told Mommy that God has already blessed us abundantly and we should learn from Dua Peh how he and his wife are so happy even with whatever God gives them. It struck Mommy so Mommy repented to God and accepted the decision Pa pa made. After making this decision, Mommy was so much happier and at peace. Thank you Pa pa for being there to pull Mommy back from the cliff, she nearly gave in to the temptation of Satan.

The staff from that online store called today to ask Mommy to pack the two items into the box and they will send UPS to pick it up. Mommy jokingly told the guy if we can keep the items coz of our honesty. Who knows, the guy was pretty serious and told Mommy to keep one of the items and he will also refund us half of the amount that Mommy paid in condition that Mommy sends back the other item (ok, this item is a MP3 player, which Mommy is longing to own one to play music for me). Well, Mommy was so surprised and contented with the offer and she accepted it thankfully. After she put the phone down, Pa pa was making fun of Mommy why she didn't ask for the MP3 player to be kept instead.... hee hee, naughty Pa pa! Then Mommy secretly went into the restroom and called the guy again to check if she can offer a lower price for the MP3 player as she intended to get this for Pa pa as his belated birthday present. Here comes another surprise. The guy was laughing at Mommy saying she was very funny, hiding in the toilet trying to negotiate the price of a MP3 player with him as a belated birthday gift. Therefore, he told Mommy that she can keep the MP3 player (for free) and wish Pa pa a Happy Birthday. Mommy's jaw nearly dropped, she asked the guy thrice if he was serious in this (coz the MP3 is not cheap). He was still laughing and told Mommy that he was serious and still thanked Mommy for her honesty. Therefore, I finally got to hear the Liang Wen Fu MP3 disk that Pa pa brought over. Oh, I can also listen to the CD that Auntie Li Kuan gave me. Thank you Auntie Li Kuan, it is really one of the best gifts I have received as there is basically no chinese CD sold here. I will give you a big hug when I come back.

Before I went to bed, Mommy told me that God is gracious and only He can do the impossible. Therefore, stand firm in His promise and do not sin against Him despite the temptation. Our journey here is just a prilgrimage and our citizenship is in Heaven. We must be watchful and thankful and do not give in to temptation since anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism - Colossians 3:25. God will give us much more than we have asked from Him. Mommy told me that I have to repent to God and ask for forgiveness if I have sinned against Him. I will, I will, Mommy!

Oh, there is a joke of the day. Well, I was a little up to my mischief yesterday when Uncle Chee Ping and Auntie Lindy were around. I threw things on the floor and refused to pack the mess when Mommy asked me to. I also jumbled with Uncle and Auntie's luggages and tripod stand while they were busy unpacking. Mommy talked to me a few times and I apologized to her every time. Then, dunno what was wrong with me in my sleep at night, I said a few times, "Sorry Mommy, Sorry Mommy" in my dreams. This happened when Mommy came in to rest after fellowshipping with Auntie Lindy. Btw, Uncle Chee Ping is a super light sleeper, he was on ear plugs last night when he slept. This morning, when he woke up, he told Mommy that he can hear me saying Sorry Mommy a few times. Mommy was so embarrassed, she thought Uncle Chee Ping must be thinking that Mommy was ill-treating me. Ha ha ha... she told him that I didn't say anything in my dreams before and she also wondered why I said that last night. See, Mommy, I told you not to mess with me right! Uncle Chee Ping said he will pray for me in church and hopefully he will tell everyone about this and Mommy will have to tone down her voice when she speaks to me. Am I smart? I know what to say and do at the right time. Hee hee, Pa pa said he should have said Sorry to his wife also in his dreams last night. Pa pa, you are too slow and I will teach you how to deal with Mommy in future. Ha ha ha....

Uncle Chee Ping and Auntie Lindy, hope I will be able to see you in town again. It's really great to have you guys around playing with me. I enjoyed my time with you guys. See u in Singapore soon.

Mommy brought me to the Monterey Bay Aquarium today after my nap and spent about 2 hours there before they closed. I enjoyed the time so much as the place was pretty empty. This was the first time we didn't get to squeeze with other kids. Mommy allowed me to walk whenever I want to and didn't restrict me at all. I hope Mommy will bring me there again, and hopefully with Pa pa coming along. I wish he was there to see the sea otter diving and the jellyfish drifting in the water.

I still prefer riding the real horse
