Busy busy...
Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us. - Hebrews 12:1
It has been a long time since I last blogged. It seems like I can never find time to log in and write my diary. :) Papa brought Mommy and I to San Jose at the beginning of Sept for 3 days. He went there for his Thesis course and we tagged along to enjoy ourselves. Mommy brought me to the San Jose Children and Discovery Museum, that we spent almost one whole day. I enjoyed myself so much that I didn't want to leave. I only took my nap when we left the museum at five. Then, Mommy brought me to shopping, but in the end, she couldn't resist the temptation and allowed me to spend some time in the children playground and Lego shop at the shopping mall. Hey, my Mommy is the best Mommy in the world. :)
The next day, she brought me to Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose, where we spent 3 hourslooking at Koi, strolling around the garden and having our picnic lunch. It was so fun. I didn't want to leave until Mommy brought me to the History Museum nearby the JFG. This Museum is very big with real building moved from the old sites. There was this nice old pe pe, who brought us into the Trains and Trams Museum, which only suppose to open for public in the weekend. He was such a nice person, and he even brought us into the workshop where the uncles repaired the old scrap of the 40s-50s car/tram/truck/fire engine etc and built them into antique cars. One of them even received 1st prize for the San Jose antique car contest. I'm sorry that I can't show you pictures on Japanese Friendship Garden and History Museum as our camera went out of memory. However, I will take some for you when I bring Papa there for our next visit. I promise Mommy that I will bring Papa and her there again.
Shortly after the San Jose trip, we went San Diego for our vacation with Uncle Yao Ming and Auntie Javis. It was a great trip for me. I enjoyed the days at LegoLand, Sea World, Balboa Park, Air Craft Museum in San Diego. We stayed in the Bachelor Quarter in the Naval Base. Mommy loves staying at the base coz she think it's safer (since visitors can only enter the base with proper I.D and it's 100% ID check). I got to spend half an hour in the North Island public library as Papa was busy searching around for wireless network to submit his project, and he finally found the library to download his work. I love the time when Mommy can sit down and read story books to me without any distraction.
I love Legoland, especially the playground for the 5 years old and above. Only Mommy can play with me here as Papa is oversized for the equipment. I told them that I can climb like a Baboon???? Papa and Mommy were very pleased that I was above 36 inches coz that is the minimum height to ride the roller coasters and most of the rides. I am just like Papa, who loves to ride roller coasters, I hope Mommy will bring me back there for more when I grow taller, it's a must-go for kids. Sea World was okay for me, it didn't intrigue me as I have been to the Sea World in Orlando already. However, I love watching the Shamu and Sea Lion shows. I can also tell Papa that "Mommy's favourite whale is Beluga! and Beluga is white". It shocked my parents when I told them that. Hee... don't play play with me.
The Aircraft Musuem is fascinating too. I got to explore the helicopter and some of the aircrafts on the Aircraft Carrier. It's a real Aircraft Carrier that has ceased its service. It's so gigantic that I can run, jump and dance on it and not worry about hitting any cars. Uncle Yao Ming and Auntie Javis also bought me a fighter air plane as souvenir. I never know we can have so much fun on an aircraft carrier, wish they will have one in Singapore too.
Next is Balboa Park in downtown San Diego. Hm... it has the taste of European structure with fountains and lots of arts museum. Papa and Mommy love it there, it's a romantic place and a good spot for wedding photos taking. Anyway, my parents are too old for that, maybe I'll save that for my wedding. Mommy nearly threw me into the fountain if I hadn't stopped her. She is really a naughty Mommy, Papa, hope you can discipline her more strictly.
On our way back, we spent our night at the Air Force Inn in Long Beach, a quiet and boring place. Then, on Sunday morning, we went to Grace Community Church in Los Angeles, a very big church with lots of buildings. We were so blessed to meet Uncle Soon Yong when we parked our car along the street. Auntie Aileen also helped to place me in the nursery, which I enjoyed playing with the toys and did some coloring. Their worship is very grand with tradition orchestra instruments and hymns singing, it was a pity that Pastor John MacArthur was not around that week to preach. I wonder if my folks will be back there for his sermons again.
Last but not least, we ended our last destination at Solvang, a Danish town along the West coast. I got to taste some Danish pastries, which Mommy loves. Papa bought me some windmill souvenirs and a charming helicopter, which I brought it to show-and-tell during my story telling session in the libary.
Oh.... I started my Jellyfish school today too. It's like a child care in Singapore. Mommy put me there as I am too young to enrol into Preschool, yet she wants me to learn to socialize with other kids and adults. It was so smooth for my first day that Mommy can steal that time to go for her grocery shopping. I even told her I love my school. I didn't want to go home after being there for 2.5 hours. Well, I think Mommy won't send me there often as she told me she missed me when I wasn't around. She would prefer to keep me at home so she can scream and scold at me... :) Hee... I know she can't stand the sight of leaving me at child care coz she said I was so pitiful. What an emotional Mommy I have. She prefers me to stay home so she can read books, cook and play with me. I will learn more staying at home with her than going to school, however, she also wants me to socialize with others when she is not present. What a dilemma!
Anyway, it's late now and I'm super tired. I know I owe you tons of photos. Photos from Harold kor kor's birthday to the start of my school today. I will send them out as soon as I get some beauty sleep. Hang on...
