Complaint...

Everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it wil be opened. - Luke 11:10

Mama was being pulled aside when she picked me up from my preschool today. Ms Tamara told her that I was very aggressive in class and I ignored them despite their constant warnings. :( Mama kinda expected it as I have also misbehaved during our trip to Lake Tahoe last weekend.

What have I done today:
1) Hit a girl continuously on her head
2) Refused to hold the rope when walking to the nearby playground
3) Ignored my teachers' warning in class
4) Snatched someone's toys when they were playing
5) Refused to pick up the toys after I played.

I know Mama will be very mad at me when she picked me up as she did not talk to me during the journey home. I was put on timeout chair in a room for 5 mins until I said Sorry to her. Then Mama asked me to list out the mistakes I committed and told me to remember not to do that again. Sorry Mama, I promise I will not do that again.

Thank God for blessing us in our Lake Tahoe trip last weekend. We were able to get out of Lake Tahore during the snow storm as forecasted. Mama was the one driving over the summit when we experienced heavy snow downfall. I finally realised how fun and cold snow is. I don't think I would want to go there again. :) Finally, I get to appreciate the weather in Monterey for the first time.

I can read it all by myself

The man said, " The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate." - Genesis 3:12

Mama has been reading this book to me for a long time and finally today marked the victory day that I can read it all by myself. I told Mama that I will read it to Papa when he comes back from school. Nonetheless, my folks are aware that I am still lacking behind when compared to the kids in Singapore (as I only play all day at home and in school here), so I will have to work harder in learning to write and count (Currently Mama has no intention to push me into that yet).

Today, Papa and Mama brought me to the Monterey Fire House for a short tour. I was carried by the fire fighter to sit on the fire engine. It was quite an interesting but short experience for me. Ohhhh... I overheard Papa and Mama's conversation that they wondered why all the fire fighters are so good looking here. :) I also want to be a fire fighter working in Monterey fire department when I grow up.

Yesterday, we went to hiking in
Garland Regional Park in Carmel Valley. It took us about 2 hours hiking up the waterfall trail. I only hiked up the trail but I requested to be carried all the way down. Well, Mama was very proud of me as this was the first long hike we went and that I was willing to walk that far. It's a sign to show that I have grown up too. Guess this will convince my folks to bring me for more hiking now.

Happy Birthday

The fear of the LORD is th beginning of wisdom. - Psalm 111:10

It's Cheryl jie jie's and Nick kor kor's birthday today.

Happy Birthday to you 2
Happy Birthday to you 2
Happy Birthday to Cheryl jie jie and Nick ko kor
Happy Birthday to you 2.

Sorry, Mama went to bed with me today, very exceptionally. She also woke up at 5am today coz she couldn't get back to sleep. I don't know why, I only know when I woke up, she was at the kitchen making pancakes for Papa and I. She said Papa was not feeling well, so she woke up to steam some chinese medicine for him. *grin* think it's because Papa bought her a pair of Nike shoes the day before. Back to my apology message, I'm very sorry, Cheryl jie jie that I didn't get to sing you the birthday song, I will do that when I come home ok. Mama said she will walk me to your school to look for you. Hope you can bring us in to get some lunchie during your recess. :) Can't wait to go back now. Enjoy your days now as your studies will get tougher as you go higher. Hee, you must be my tutor when I attend school ok? Mama is very proud of you coz you can play and study well too. You must teach me all your tricks. Gotta sleep now. C'ya.

End of war

God... has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. - 1 Peter 1:3

My fever finally subsided on the 5th day when Mama gave me the Amoxiciilin + barley water + paracedemol + ibruprofen + no porridge, no rice + Chrysathemum tea + wearing short sleeve at less than 10 degree celsius + topless (when my folks were desperate to get my temperature down). It's a relief for them since they had lose their sleep on me for the past 4 nights. However, I am still having my running nose and slight cough with phlegm. Hopefully I can recover by Saturday and Papa will consider to bring me to the Chinatown in San Francisco for the flower market.

Unfortunately, Manja, Bing and Janna also spiked a fever now. Papa sent our medicine to them last night, praying hard that they will recover soon so I can go play with them. Mama is going to keep me at home for the whole week, no school, no library, no playground, no Auntie's house until I finish my Amoxi and she is sure all the kids have recovered from the spread.

During the last 5 days, I didn't eat much except pancakes, bread, water and medicine. No milk was given to me since my folks want to reduce my phlegm. I can eat so much after the illness now, I keep asking Mama for food, even after a full cup of milk. I take 5 mini pancakes + milk in the morning, then I can finish one full bowl of porridge, after my nap, I drink a cup of milk, proceed by my dinner. Mama is glad that I finally ask her for food. I have never done that for the past 2 years. :)

I told Mama:
Me: I want to eat you, Mama.
Mama: Why do you want to eat me? *puzzled face*
Me: I will ask Papa to cook you tomorrow and I will eat you.
Mama: .....
Me: Then I will ask Papa to buy a new Mommy back for me.
Mama: *sad* then no one will buy your new toys!
Me: I will ask the new Mommy to buy me new toys from Target.
Mama: Do you like Mama?
Me: *nodding my head sincerely and looking into my eyes* Yes, I like Mama.
Mama: Why do you want to eat me then?
Me: I like Mama, so I want to eat you.
Mama: *dunno to be happy or sad* Do you want to eat Papa too?
Me: No.
Mama: How about Ah gong, Ah Ma or Popo?
Me: No.
Mama: How about Auntie Tricia, Auntie Kamela, Auntie Yen?
Me: No.
Mama: How about Mama?
Me: YES!

I guess this will give my Mama some time to ponder on her attitude and action. I heard her told Er gu that if they can't find Mama, don't eat the food in the pot.

My folks are trying to sell my toys away to prepare for our trip home. Some of these toys are already sold and I will never see it again. Bye bye toys.

We went to San Jose History Park for a picnic with Uncle JB's and Uncle Alex's family after our trip to the San Jose Flea Market.

Lost battle

All the days of the afflicted are evil, but he who is of a merry heart has a continual feast. - Proverbs 15:15

Yes, my folks surrendered in the evening and rushed me to the doctor before the clinic closed. The doctor diagnosed me for Bronchitis. Not again! I had this before I left for States in 2005 and now infected with this respiratory virus before I go back to Singapore. Is it a cycle? Oh, I think I will miss the doctor here, he gave me a toy after my consultation. The good thing is I don't need to go for any nebilizer but I have to be on Amoxicillin for 10 days. Mama is quite certain that I got the virus from school as Caelyn jie jie is also down with fever. Please pray for a speedy recovery for me. Auntie Yen even postponed Xuan mei mei's birthday till Monday so that I can join them for the celebration...

Absence from school

I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger. - John 6:35

It's a hectic week for my parents, I am infected with some viruses in school on Tuesday and started having high fever on Wednesday morning. I shook my Mommy hard at 6am in the morning telling her that "I am hot hot!". Mommy got a shock when she put her forehead to mine. My temperature was at 39 deg and she fed me some multisymptom medicine to bring down the fever. The fever went down to 37.5 and I looked well, so Mommy brought me to Auntie Kemila's house to play with Janna and Bing Bing. Who knows my fever came back at night and it went up to 39.5 again. Papa and Mama sponged me with ice water until it came down at 38. They were too tired to continue sponging me, therefore, they put me to sleep after inserting the fever suppressant.

Mama woke up occasionally to monitor my temperature but guess she was too tired in the early morning that she missed measuring me. She was panicked when she found that my temperature went up to 40.5 yesterday morning. Immediately, my calm Papa gave me a cold shower/bath, I struggled and cried until Mama also came into the bathtub to join me. She then realised it was really chilly to have a cold bath at 7am in the morning. I hate going into the bathtub now. It's scary as I don't know if they are giving me the cold or warm water. However, my temperature dropped till 37.5 in the day but it went up and down. Mommy couldn't even attend her BSF class and had to stay at home to put me to bed early. Mommy dressed me light last night when she sent me to bed, with a short-sleeved shirt and pants (no heater, no socks). My temperature still went up to 39.5 again. My folks started the sponge bath at midnight. Mama was so exhausted that she nearly couldn't continue the process and suggested to send me to ER. I guess it's because my folks are busying packing and selling our stuff that they have emptied their energy tank in the day.

Did I tell you that my Mama is very pleased with my perseverance and patience? I did not cry when they told me that a sponged bath is way better than a cold water shower. I even allowed them to sponge my thighs and armpits with my clothes off. I take my medicine without hesitation and drink lots of water upon request. Oh, since I did not protest and wail, Papa gave me toys to reward me too. I got a Thomas and Percy Sodor Engine pull back. I think Papa also promised to open James for me today. Pray hard that my fever will subside and Mama will bring me to Dennis The Menace playground when I am fully recovered.
